When the topic on Jiang DeXian was brought up, even Li XinYun became nosy. “Say, Mom, are you going to go out with him?”

The employees at Fang JunRong’s company already knew that Jiang DeXian was chasing her. He wasn’t exactly being subtle. Li XinYun had a lot of respect for her mother when it came to this.

She was able to remain steadfast in front of such a beautiful man. Compared to the outsiders, she saw more as Fang JunRong’s daughter.

He paused, then said to her, “I saw my mother today.”

Jiang YaGe was taken aback a little. She lowered her head so Li ShiZe would not see the hatred on her. From her perspective, she did not have to suffer for one and half year in jail if it wasn’t for Fang JunRong’s insistence on it. And she had to pay a big fine that wiped out her savings.

She reflexively stroked her left wrist with her right hand, where there was still a hint where the bracelet was.

“You are still young. Even if your reputation had been tarnished, you can be easily forgiven if your attitude is sincere and carried out a few charity acts.”

It had crossed her mind to ask Li XinYun for a loan but her pride finally stopped her. She didn’t know others to find out how much she had borrowed. During their normal conversations in the past, she had always expressed how contemptuous she felt toward those who’d turn to loan sharks for money.

The other students were dumbfounded. Li XinYun’s words were loaded.

She was blatantly suggesting that Zhang Meixia’s cookies were problematic. What was going on?

Li XinYun said slowly. “You gave me the same kind of cookies yesterday for my birthday and I was going to eat them this morning.

As it turned out, it had been sitting there for so long that my pet ate them when I wasn’t looking and it fell ill immediately.

“So my mother sent the cookies to the laboratory to have them checked out.”

She told everyone what she had found out while looking straight at Zhang Meixia. “Do tell, why did you send this to me?

“Do you hate me that much?”

Zhang Meixia walked over to Li XinYun and displayed a bright smile. “I baked some more cookies and brought them for you before I left today.”

Seeing how normal she looked, Li XinYun wasn’t sure if she really didn’t know about the drugs or that she was a very good actor. She, too, smiled and said, “That’s awesome. I loved your cookies.”

“Then have more.”

Li XinYun said, “Too bad I had a big lunch and then some fruits after that. I can’t right now.”

Having muddled through it, she feigned interest in the songs and started looking for songs that interested her. All in all, she refused to touch any of the food.

“You can always say no if you don’t want to go,” said Fang JunRong.

Li XinYun thrusted her chest out, her chin taut. “No, if this really had something to do with her, she will admit to it this afternoon.”

Fang JunRong frowned. She did not wish for Li XinYun to have further contact with the other party. She only wished to notify the police right away.

Li XinYun said, “Don’t worry. I won’t drink anything there nor will I eat anything. I’ll also bring my bodyguard with me!”

Her voice lightened up. “I also want to find out if she was innocent. I want to know if she was set up by someone else or was this her idea…...”

As the banquet ended sort of late, Fang JunRong thought that Li XinYun started to get worried. She wondered if she needed to give the turtle some pills to help with its digestion.

Her spinning around gave Fang JunRong a headache, so she resorted to sending Li XinYun on her way. “You should hurry up and go have your makeover done. Didn’t you say you want to be the prettiest star today?”

Li XinYun stuck her tongue out. “I’ll be leaving in a second. You don’t need to prepare lunch for me. I’ll just eat outside.”

Unfortunately, Li XinYun’s trip was not meant to be. Fang JunRong received a call from Jiang WenYu before Li XinYun could leave the house.

As the banquet ended sort of late, Fang JunRong thought that XinYun would sleep in today as well. Unexpectedly, XinYun got up early in the morning.

XinYun yawned as she said to Fang JunRong, “It’s a classmate’s birthday today so we made plans to go to karaoke together and that will also double as her birthday celebration.”

Fang JunRong smiled at her, “Must be someone you are close with then.”

As lazy as this girl was, she would probably rather be home sleeping otherwise. It had been a rough few days leading up to her birthday banquet.

Li XinYun chomped down on the fruit. She felt that she had been revived after she had finished an apple. “Mmm, yeah. We were always in the same class starting grade school all the way through senior high school and our birthdays are only one day apart. What are the odds of that, right?”

Fang JunRong went silent for a little while, then said, “I take back what I have said, I apologize. And thank you for being fond of me.”

She really wasn’t in the right mindset to start a new relationship right now so she was going to have to be the “nice guy” to him.

“I feel that I have impeccable taste.” Jiang DeXian stressed again.

Not everyone was blind like Li WangJin. To many, the name “Li WangJin” now represents a blind man.

“I am not into office romance.” She did not want to mix work with her private life.

With all the people that were newly added, Zhong Yi became much busier. Fang JunRong rarely ever saw her at home anymore.

“Su Teng even sent me some gifts and said he would like to meet up with you,” said He JianBing casually as she picked up a piece of sweet and sour pork.

Fang JunRong’s lips twitched. The audacity of that man! Was he a three-year-old child? Did he think that all he needed to do was to apologize to her, say a few nice things, and they could put everything behind them?

In his dreams! She had disliked him from the Su QinYing’s incident already,  then there was this new incident.

New beef on top of old ones, it only made sense for her to take revenge.

She hadn’t expected that their herb would turn out problematic. Poor Old Man Su, his life-long reputation took a big hit just like that all because of Su Teng.

Fang JunRong looked down on the ground and found the green turtle looking up at her. It was just a turtle but Fang JunRong could see “innocent” written all over it.

Fang JunRong looked into it’s eyes and finally sighed and said, “You want to go out too?”

The turtle nodded.

Alrighty. It was a turtle from the dimension alright. It could even comprehend human speech.

“We can do that but I have rules. You cannot appear in front of others without my permission; no eating random things; and you can’t hurt anyone.”

The turtle hesitated for a little and finally nodded three times.

Alright, Fang JunRong would just assume that she had adopted a pet.

It had come to Fang JunRong’s attention that every time she had changed the fate of many others, much like she had done so right now, there would be some changes to her dimension.

As soon as she had gotten inside this time, she felt something approaching her from the front. It was so fast that all she could see was a blur. She was startled. Were there animals in the dimension now?

When she looked closely again, she saw a turtle lying underneath a tree not too far away from her. The turtle wasn’t very big; it could fit onto her palm and it didn’t look any different from a regular turtle just from looking at it.

Fang JunRong looked around but did not see any other animals around.

Xu Jin, who had only been sought after for just a few days, felt very indignant.

Sure, he made a mistake when it came to Fang JunRong but he had already apologized for his mistake, hadn’t he? Why did Fang JunRong’s fans have to be so aggressive? As for Fang JunRong sharing her two formulas, he felt that was not a big deal. She was so rich already. Shouldn’t she share some things? It wasn’t like she shared the formulas for Beautify Pills and Hair Growing Cream also.
