“Hello?”
Jian Xia’s voice was a bit hoarse, obviously woken up by the call.
Jiang Qiuyi remained silent for a little while before she asked in a low voice, “Did you pull an all-nighter again?”
Jian Xia, “Oh.”
With her eyes closed, she said, “Yeah, I was writing dirty novels last night from my second account. Once I started, I couldn’t stop.”
Jian Xia had been writing novels since her college days. She started from a newbie who wrote fresh and fluffy novels to one writing 18+ only novels.

“What time did you finally go to bed?”

Jian Xia let out an “oh, shoot”. “For realz?”

Jiang Qiuyi smiled and said, “I am going to go put some makeup on. Pick you up in a little bit?”
“Sure!” said Jian Xia.

Jiang Qiuyi walked inside of the walk-in closet.
This mansion that she and Lu Mingcheng stayed at was big with spacious rooms. And the walk-in closet was several times the size of the bedroom.
As soon as she walked inside, the motion-sensing light turned itself on.
The closets were along the walls and in the middle were islands for watches and jewelries as well as shelves for purses and shoes. There were so many of them that they were dazzling.
The jewelries sparkled under the light and almost hurt the eyes when looking at them.
Jiang Qiuyi had barely bought anything for herself. Most of the items in there were from the brands, Lu Mingcheng, or her mother-in-law.
Most of them were not to her liking.
The walk-in closet was not filled. Lu Mingcheng only used up a small portion of it and Jiang Qiuyi had even less than he did.
Looking at the empty closet and purse shelf, Jiang Qiuyi started formulating a plan.
If she was to enjoy the life of a wealthy wife of a prominent family, she should start from shopping and work on filling up the walk-in closet.
Jiang Qiuyi picked out a beige dress. It was both fashionable and warm.
After she was done getting ready, she looked at herself in the mirror.
Her skin was white like porcelain with sparkled like ice. Her lips were a natural red and her features were delicate. Her eyes bright. She was both charming and sweet looking.
Not to be too conceited, Jiang Qiuyi had idea why she was just a cannon fodder female supporting character in the novel with her looks.
She still hasn’t figured that one out by the time she picked up Jian Xia.

Looking at the way that she was dressed, Jian Xia peeked over at the chauffeur and whispered into Jiang Qiuyi’s ear, “Why did you dress up so classy today?”
Jiang Qiuyi raised her brows at Jian Xia and asked, “Am I?”
“Yeah.”
Jian Xia looked at her own jeans and sweatshirt. She scratched her hair and said, “I didn’t even shampoo my hair.”
Jiang Qiuyi busted out laughing, “I’ll pay for you to have your hair showered in a little bit.”
Jian Xia lifted her brows, “Did something happen today?”
“No,” said Jiang Qiuyi simply. “I just had it all figured out.”
Looking at her serious look, Jian Xia had more questions but she stopped herself because the chauffeur was there with them.
The two of them arrived at the shopping mall with the most designer brands. As soon as they had gotten out of the car, Jian Xia held her arms and asked, “Tell me quickly. What had enlightened you?”
Jiang Qiuyi gave her a look and said, “I felt that no matter how hard I try to play the role of a good Mrs. Lu, the Lu family will always look at me the same way.”
She spread her arms. “So I might as well just enjoy my identity right now. Am I right?”
Jian Xia’s eyes sparkled. She said excitedly, “Exactly! That’s what I have been trying to tell you. It doesn’t matter how frugal you are and how nice you are to them, they will not appreciate what you have done. The prominent family had their minds set. You might as well enjoy yourself. They do they. You do you.”
“Mmhmm,” said Jiang Qiuyi.
Seeing that Jiang Qiuyi has really had it all figured out, Jian Xia asked, “Where do we start?”
Jiang Qiuyi took a look, “Let’s start from the right and go into each and every single one of them.”
She whispered into Jian Xia’s ear, “Take anything that catches your eyes. I’ll foot the bill today.”
