Jiang Qiuyi was not a regular of the high-end shops but would come occasionally to pick something up. The salespeople knew her but were not familiar with her. Naturally, they had no idea that she was Lu Mingcheng’s wife whom nobody had ever met.
The salesgirl walked up to her with a smile when she saw her.
“Miss Jiang.” The salesgirl smiled at her, “Are you here to pick something up?”
“No,” said Jiang Qiuyi.
She looked around and said nonchalantly, “I’ll just here to browse.”
The salesgirl nodded and followed next to her.
Jiang Qiuyi paused a little and said to her in a low voice. “You don’t need to follow me around. I’ll let you know when I need help.”
“Surely,” said the salesgirl with a smile.
Jiang Qiuyi looked around for a little while and picked a few dresses.
“What do you think?”
“They are pretty.” Jian Xia nodded.
Looking at the mirror not too far away from them, Jiang Qiuyi gestured the dresses over herself and said, “Wrap these up for me.”
The salesgirl was taken aback a little. She took a look at Jiang Qiuyi’s outfit and reminded her after some pondering, “Miss Jiang, two of these dresses are limited editions so they are a bit…”
Before she even finished her sentence, Jiang Qiuyi pulled out Lu Mingcheng’s secondary card and said, “Here you go.”
Seeing the color of the card, the salesgirl’s smile deepened and quickly said, “Surely. Miss Jiang. Do look around some more.”
Jiang Qiuyi did not let the salesgirls’ attitude bother her. She picked out a few more purses while dragging Jian Xia with her.
Jian Xia looked at her and asked in a low voice, “You are buying so much in just one shop?”
“This is not that much.” Jiang Qiuyi had, at the very minimum, been staying in the prominent family for a year now. Her eyes had been opened.
She calculated it in her head and comforted Jian Xia, “Don’t worry. All of those add up to less than a million yuan.”

After they were done with the first shop, the two went over to the second and the third…
They shopped all the way until lunch time and Jiang Qiuyi took Jian Xia to a restaurant in a 5-star hotel. The two planned to rest up for an hour or two at their presidential suite afterward and continue their shopping saga in the afternoon.
Jiang Qiuyi noticed that Jian Xia was happy when she ate and asked her with a smile, “How do they taste?”
Jian Xia looked up at her and said, “The taste of money. What do you think?”
Jiang Qiuyi, “… I think you are exaggerating it a little here.”
She said in a tender voice, “Come over to my place next time. The seafood that was airlifted over a while back wasn’t half bad. You will like them.”

Jian Xia paused a little. “Oh, stop talking already. I worry that I’d want to go right now.”
Jiang Qiuyi thought about it for a little bit. “That works too. Let me give Uncle Xu a call. He can arrange for it.”

Jian Xia looked at her with her eyes widened, stunned. “You have thoroughly impressed me this one morning.”
Jiang Qiuyi, eating her food in small bites, said, “Did I?”
“Yes.”

How could it not be when they could just walk into luxurious shop after luxurious shop and buy everything that they liked without even having to ask for the cost.
They were practically living Jian Xia’s dreams.
Jiang Qiuyi smiled nonchalantly. “We will make this afternoon even more satisfying for you then.”
“Okay!”
The two went over to the presidential suite after lunch.
The Lu Corporation had invested in this hotel; as such, the presidential suite on the top floor was reserved for Lu Mingcheng.
Jiang Qiuyi got the keycard and went upstairs with Jian Xia.
The two had just stepped inside of the elevator when Lu Mingcheng and his assistant showed up.
He had an important meeting this morning and a simple lunch meeting over here in the afternoon with their business partner.
Lu Mingcheng had just sat down in the private room when Xu Chen, his assistant, lowered his voice and told him, “Boss Lu, Madam is here at this hotel as well.”
Lu Mingcheng was taken aback a little. He looked at him in surprise, “By herself?”
“With Miss Jian,” said Xu Chen.
Lu Mingcheng didn’t think much of that when he heard that.
“Mmm,” he said. Then, nonchalantly, “Go see if the madam needs anything. And also let her know that I will be resting up at this hotel this afternoon.”
“Yes, Sir.”
After Xu Chen had left, Lu Mingcheng chatted with his business partner.
After a little while, Xu Chen returned with a strange look on him.
Looking at him, Lu Mingcheng said a word to his business partner then got up and walked outside.
“What did the madam say?” asked Lu Mingcheng after he walked out of the private room.
Xu Chen cleared his throat and said in a low voice, “Madam said she will be resting up with her friend in the room this after and asked you to not go and disturb her.”
